With yesterday being Father’s Day, it was only fitting that I should share some snippets of Tom’s first Father’s Day. Watching Tom become such a caring, gentle Dad has been the best adventures of my life. I am so proud to call this man my Husband but mostly so proud of the Dad that he has become.
Tom is by no means a chatty Cathy, and most people who know him would say he is a single syllable conversationalist, but I thought I would try my hardest while cooped up in the car on our big adventure to come up with some questions and see what his responses would be.
What’s the best part so far about having Angus in our lives? I don’t know that there is a best part; all of it.
What’s the one thing you would do differently? Travel as a family permanently and spend more time together.
What do you enjoy the most about being a Dad? All the happy moments.
What were your first thoughts when you saw Angus for the first time? This is the best thing I have ever done in my life.
Any words of wisdom for another new Dad? Cherish every moment because you only get it once.
Have you noticed any changes within yourself since becoming a Dad? Yes, 100%, I have a reason to want to go home every day.
What’s been your best moment with Angus so far? Day 1, when he was born; that’s pretty hard to beat.
After a lot of hours and a lot of kilometres in the car with no service, I thought of this one last question;
What does being a Dad mean to you? After silence for about two minutes – “The world”.
I hope you all enjoy this! A big Cheers to all the Dad’s and Dad’s to be, we couldn’t do it without you and we love you dearly for everything that you do.
